Gail Mandel, Deputy Director of the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education, will deliver a presentation on Thursday, April 27th from 7-8pm in the Murdock Gallery. She will provide a brief history of Jews in Oregon – and share the stories of Jewish individuals who lived or worked in Clackamas County.
Biography
Gail Mandel is Deputy Director of the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education (OJMCHE). Prior to joining the professional team at OJMCHE, she served as Director of Philanthropy at the Oregon Jewish Community Foundation. Gail holds a B.S. in Journalism from Boston University and an M.A. in Art History and Museum Studies from City College/City University of New York. Her past professional experience includes work with the Development Office of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and work in the publishing industry at ABRAMS. Gail currently serves on the boards of Congregation Beth Israel and the Western Museums Association.
