Our Hope for the future

In 2018, CCHS partnered with Willamette Falls Heritage Area Coalition to plan the complete redesign of MOOT’s second floor exhibit space to align with the geographical area between Philip Foster Farm and Mission Bottom. This included an Interpretive Master Plan completed by exhibit interpretive planning team Alchemy of Design.

The overarching theme of the redesign is that Willamette Falls is at a crossroads- of geography, trade, industry and recreation- that has attracted people for thousands of years and will continue to draw people into the future. While things have changed since the plan was first published, it demonstrates what we hope to accomplish with the museum and direction we would like to take our exhibit spaces in the future- provided we garner enough funding.
