Birds of the Pacific Northwest
Karen DeWitz loves nothing better than to grab her camera and head outside to explore, delighting in the sometimes-well-hidden discoveries to be made along the way. This includes the many beautiful bird species that call Oregon home. Utilizing her rich background in instruction, outdoor education, and photography, DeWitz will deliver a presentation on the birds one might see while camping in Clackamas County. Karen DeWitz is a former teacher with a master's degree in education, who understands how to intrigue and inspire young minds both in the classroom and in the Northwest's wild spaces.
